Looking again, I see I can cut-out the Hollister stop, and just do
START (Riverside) - Bakersfield - Coalinga - HOME.

Danm it's shocking that I5 doesn't have more. It's almost better to take 101!

That's pretty sensible. The car will be so new to you that you'll want to figure it out without the pressure of that journey. I've really benefited from setting aside some quality time to learn, do settings, and go on short 'test drives' in the past couple of days.

Once you have the car figured out it will be fine to do that trip.
