The concept was unveiled at Miami Art Week. Those are Miami colors, so I’m not too concerned about that. I see some elements I really like and others that I’m sure will be revised. They have test mules out there so hopefully there will be some specs in the next few months ahead of a final design.

Overall I like the bodywork. The cars looks futuristic and unique.

I understand that they wanted different proportions and they wanted to have no rear mirror. I assume that means that the there is limited trunk space and the large bonnet is a large frunk to use as a trunk.

I bet that by the time production comes around there will be a rear mirror and side view mirrors like every other car. This is will change what the car looks like.

The overall look reminds me of American muscle cards. I like it.

more details in this video, especially about the interior.

I think his description of it looks like a Cybertruck and a Chrysler Crossfire had an affair! Perfect

Meanwhile they can’t even get their existing dealers to fix in a timely manner the electric car they’ve had in market for 5 years. I fell in love with Jaguar riding shotgun in my dad’s 63 e-type. I bought the ipace because I loved the performance but more importantly it was still a car. I didn’t want to drive an iPad around and pretend it was a car. I’ve been holding off on buying my next EV for the GT (which I believe was initially meant to be available in 2024??) This, however, leaves me wanting and sad. This is my golden divorce, after 50 years the love affair is over.

I got motivated this morning to see how this concept would look in British Racing Green. I felt like the branding around art week really wasn't giving the design a fair shot. So I whipped this up in Photoshop, and dropped a post on LinkedIn. Thought I would share it here too.

The specific purpose of the rebranding is to get away from BRG and all that British crap that's too downmarket for Jag's new goals.

Half elongated Nissan Z, quarter Chrysler 300, and quarter Chrysler Crossfire.

Agreed. While quite liking BRG and the old Jaguar style (and all that "British crap"), the new style deserves a new fresh visual. I highly doubt the pink or baby blue colors will dominate once the actual car is released, but other metallic colors would look sharp.

I thought the new model was supposed to be a 4dr GT, so this design will be modified somewhat. The teaser pics of the prototype on road tests looks comparable, but not identical.

A Cruella de Ville car indeed! IMHO, what is portrayed in these images is anything but a timelessly beautiful automobile. It may work on TikTok for a fashion season or two like the cartoonish two-dimensional figures portrayed in that teaser ad a week or two ago. But it will never enter the ranks of contenders like the XKE, Gull-wing Mercedes, early Porsche 911s, many of the early Alfa Romeos, or our I-PACEs. Where is Ian Callum when we need him?!

Ah! He is still working! It may not be too late!
