I don't get it. @dernotte has 'BZ' BECS and you have 'BV' - like I have- .
Then 'BZ' is more recent and you write he is behind ?
Or do you refer to #16 : @MMipace 'BY' ?

I recently had the AC tubes replaced. The workshop manager and first engineer strongly advised against further updating the BECS ".. if it works it won't get better..".

His BECM (battery energy control module) is newer version than mine.
His BCCM (battery charger control module) is older version AAJ than mine AAL.

They confirmed another module needs replacement so they’ve ordered it. I’m not sure why they don’t just replace the whole battery if I’m on module number five. It’s a lot of work for the service department to keep having to take the car apart and put it back already five times.

Is there any tracking or date identification on module replacement?
I would not be a bit surprised if JLR is scavenging modules from the buyback vehicles just to get to the end of the warranty. Remove, test and certify for warranty replacement.

As explained here

When we see : BZ-AAJ-BE-AE-BE, in fact (BZ-AAJ) comes from BECM and (BE-AE-BE) comes from BCCM.
There is one number for the software version number, one for the config version number, etc...
Back in 2023 I found the 3 letter code in the BCCM.

Paperwork only states module number not exact identifiers 😣. I’ve hired an attorney at this point because I am also certain JLR are delaying things since I’m close to warranty end.

I just get the car back with a "brand" new battery. I just check the PID 4971 to know when the battery was manufactured and I got : 2408110000530000, so Aug 11st, 2024. Very close to the end of the Ipace production last year. This means that the battery was sitting somewhere since 8 months with activity. When I had the first sign of a new battery, the mobile app was reporting 36%. At least it was not 0%.
The technician was able to charge it up to 100%. The SOH of individual modules are all 100%, except one at 99%. Can't complain. As expected.
I am happy for you, sometimes patience pays off, this is my 5.5+ years old battery with 80000km/50000miles, it has has almost exclusively been slow charged to 85%
