I just tested. After about a minute? the alarm goes active when you lock it with the driver's door button.
Alarm System
If I understand correctly the alarm system is only activated when the vehicle is locked with the smart key. Is there any way to arm the system when the vehicle is locked with the lock button in the door handle?

Mine does the same. Maybe I did not wait long enough last time.

Download the iGuide on to your phone. It's a fully searchable I-Pace user manual with embedded videos and visual search function where you can click on any external or internal component to view it's usage. I think it's pretty cool.
