I'm driving an FE with premium air ionization system, configured to the high setting. This morning I'm sitting at a red light in moderate city traffic, kids in the car en route to school, when suddenly I smell smoke (cigarette) as strongly as if someone had just lit up in the back seat! Nothing in the car, but I notice a mustang coupe with its windows down had just pulled up at my 4:00 position, next lane over on my right and half a car back... both front passengers smoking... literally billowing out drivers side. No other possibility of the source. Is there an air INTAKE at the right rear side of the I-Pace??? How on earth could that smell so rapidly reach me (10 seconds after that car pulled up beside me) with all windows closed?? Anyone else have issues with odors perpetrating the cabin? There is an entire thread on the UK website about how easily the I-Pace allows odors into the cabin despite the "high" setting of air ionization filter. Not usually an issue, and certainly a minor one at that, but today's incident was pretty disturbing proof of the problem. Particularly disturbing since the air ionization filter is a paid upgrade - so presumably some thought/effort went into it. Is there a filter I can upgrade or something? Thank God I don't have to drive through farmlands like some of the UK forum posters mentioned!
