Agreed, but seems like something that could be 'fixed' with future software update?
Uh... Exactly what did Jaguar think you use 360° view for? When you go FORWARD, you can see. When you go BACKWARDS, there is a serious and dangerous visibility issue in all cars, hence 360° view technology. You can't always tell if you are going to clip something with the front corner or side of the car.
Or is there something I'm not doing right?
(note - I have 360° view on my other sedan, so I know when it's needed and when it's not)
That's what I'm hoping.Agreed, but seems like something that could be 'fixed' with future software update?
Yeah, that's an odd choice. At the same time, the rear cross traffic view is great, as is front cross traffic view. I'd like a GPS-based way to automatically turn the front one on.
Hello and welcome, LW59. What infotainment software is your car on? Many of the problems you discuss have been fixed by updates. Unfortunately, some dealers are selling the I-Pace without updating the software. My 2020 Ipace HSE has problems with Multimedia software ( maybe hardware too? ) and I hope Jaguar will address this issues as soon as possible. Cameras malfunction often stop working, slowdowns and freezing screen , Music sound problems when listening to USB Flash drive video files and file names are not populated the list or if they do it disappears and you have no idea what file is playing. The multimedia doesn't memorize the last state of the played song and always starts from the first file on the USB. 360 cameras are not working properly because of the poor design and are generally useless because it is activated only when the vehicle is in the park and doesn't work when you are backing up. I know that 2021 models have better software and maybe hardware but we shouldn't suffer with our brand new cars that are not in Toyota Rav4 price and luxury level! I have no idea what is the remedy to all this?
Hi there! Thank you for replying, I attached the pics of the software versions.Hello and welcome, LW59. What infotainment software is your car on? Many of the problems you discuss have been fixed by updates. Unfortunately, some dealers are selling the I-Pace without updating the software.
Thank you so much! Had no idea about this setting! The 360 view is now enabled in reverse ! A bit small window but at least it is there and working great !360 camera view works on my 2019 when backing up. I get the rear camera on the left, the 360 view in the middle and sensor indications on the right.
I looked through my settings. Do the following steps and see if they resolve the issue.
Touch the camera icon on the bottom, then touch the settings icon and choose camera settings.
Ensure the options top and bottom are turned on. Touch the LIST to setup default camera view.
When you put it in R and the camera displays there will be icons on the left. Touch the top one if necessary to enable 360 view.
You're certainly on the latest infotainment software and a little behind on the TCU. I'm even further behind on the TCU but everything works fine. I have had many of the same issues with USB media and the iPod interface is buggy too. There was some discussion here about video media and I'll try to find it for you. I can't remember the conclusion but it might have been that an HDMI cable is required. Hopefully someone else can chime in.Hi there! I think they are latest ?
Not sure if I am having problems because my USB flash drive has too many MP4 files, around 300. I do like to watch music videos when parked and looking forward to somehow enable Video in Motion on my I pace but do not think there is any reliable solution available anywhere.

I don't have this problem in a 21 with Pivi Pro it goes straight to the 360 view.I know the original issue in this thread is resolved, but figured I would leave this here for future searchers: The infotainment sub-systems (at least in my 2019, Touch Pro Duo) boot up asynchronously after starting the car, with "critical" systems prioritized. If I turn the car on and immediately put it into reverse and back out of my driveway, I get only a very basic rear camera view in the center display because the system for the other cameras and 360 view has not started yet. If instead I wait a minute for all the sub-systems to come online before I put the car in reverse, I can see the 360 view along with all the view option buttons.
If you see only a rear-facing view in reverse it's possible that your more complex camera system has not finished booting, so you got the "fall back" view instead.
