Hi,

I just got a 2019 with about 50,000 miles. It was a great deal, but I know that was due to the battery problems.

It immediately failed to charge. They replaced the plug in socket. Now, after the upgrade my JLR service department is keeping it due to fire risk. They are saying there will be a new software update, but from what I am reading they probably need to replace battery modules.

Anyway, I thought I’d register.

Thanks!

Welcome @rickmcd47 !
I hope your dealer is responsive and responsible. Battery module replacement will probably be a while but that may be a blessing in disguise. Keep pestering the dealer but also be patient 🍺 . You can also file a case with JLR corporate if you get the runaround.

I'm in a similar situation except my H441 update hasn't fired off any warning yet...because I haven't had the car in weeks. We've driven it for a total of three days since taking initial delivery around 8/19. The first shop visit was because Carmax broke the charge port the day of delivery. Then it sat for 3 weeks awaiting the charge port repair. Then we took it back because the front camera was not functioning. Going on week 2 for that repair. Worst experience ever. My wife is pissed. Not even sure how long I'm going to keep the car when it comes back. The service issues seem insurmountable.

I’m ok. These problems are why I could afford this car. The current update is that they did do the H441 in August and it cleared the battery cells. I am not real clear on why it needs another update at this point.
