Brutal. EV's as a whole are getting killed on the resale front. My favorite example is Lucid; there plenty of examples of Dream owners losing $80k+ in a few years.

The I-Pace is not aided by the fact that it was discontinued, and that the Jag brand is on life support. I'm sure the impressive amount of negative publicity surrounding the battery recall and Jag's impressively incompetent handling of the matter certainly hasn't helped either. Somewhat ironic and criminal that their mistakes resulting in a barrage of battery recalls is likely saving them money on the buyback front.

Lucid is on life support and it appears it is only a matter of time before they go out of business. Beautiful impressive car victimized like most EV'S by the political insults of many in the Republican party. Ironically, Musk has destroyed his reputation among liberals, once his main customer source.

Since the Saudis own Lucid, I don't think there will be an issue with keeping them funded.

Rivian sells to Amazon, which gives them a lifeline. Amazon also owns a big chunk of Rivian.

And Tata owns JLR.

All deep pockets.

I also don't worry about solvability of JLR, given its one LTD.

I'm very happy with my I-Pace, first edition. Received a new traction battery pack last year.
Drives like a dream. Arrived last friday in the Algarve after a 2600km trip in 5 days.
Only to discover my car now has the cracked airco line. But I'm under approved,
no worries.. :sneaky:
