I'm in CA, hired an attorney to handle, so fingers crossed. Two questions:

- do you surrender the title to LRJ so that you are off the hook for registration and insurance? I'm still carrying insurance as I still technically own it although it's stored at the dealer, but I would very much like to stop paying coverage for a car i can't drive.

- what does everyone think about Waymo's completely i Pace fleet of autonomous cars? There are everywhere here.

Just got the offer today. It is $31,732. Mine is a red FE with 57,452 miles and the listing price was close 90k. I bought as a CPO with 4k miles for much less than the listing price. Changed 12v batteries twice under the warrantee. Otherwise, no issues at all. Still love the car. Runs great, feels great, good looking, and all the features, but the range wise, it is outdated, especially that now can only be charged to 80%. Like to keep the car but worried repair cost when something happens. What would you do if you were me?
IMO, I'd keep your car! I'm new to iPace. Doing my research. What year is your car?

Does this buyback offer affect all 2019 model year iPaces? Are these battery/car issues exclusive to 2019 or do these problems extend to other year models as well? I'm sorry you are having so many serious problems. These posts are quite informative for me in considering whether to purchase or stay away.

Yes hire a lawyer and file the lawsuit before 1st April.
I am using Johnson and Buxton, someone recommended in this thread earlier.
All the best.
Is there someone you're speaking with there? I got a "repurchase coordinator" email today telling me KBB from 10/24, I'm in Cali and I am still within the warranty even with the new law. I asked once more for a battery replacement (I'm gathering that isn't an option for me) and why they think I don't qualify for a CA lemon law buyback. I'm done playing, I'll just call the lawyer and let it roll.

Is there any way I can send you my phone number privately?
Hi Richard, I was just reading your thread, and I seem to be in a similar situation. Were you able to settle under lemon law to your satisfaction? And did you have to send a lemon law request to JLR, or did you handle it all through the rep first assigned to you?
Thanks for any help, Peggy

I'm getting the horseshit "does not qualify for California lemon law" crap. Guess I will get the lawyer, is anyone having them change out the battery? At this point, that would suit me fine.
Jaguar is handling this worse than a shady used car salesman. Did you get an offer from JLR yet? And did they offer you a replacement? Considering they lost a ruling in New Jersey last week, it will be interesting to see if JLR proceeds with the dismal service they are giving their loyal customers.

I am in touch with the Lawyer to file a lawsuit they denied my CA Lemon Law claim which was a surprise.
The lawyer mentioned there is a new law that will be effective on Apr 1st (you have to be quick with your paperwork).
Please message me if you want more details, the more voice we have it will be better.

For me I started the process early Feb they took more than 6 weeks (last week, near Apr 1st deadline) that my CA Lemon Law claim is denied. Its a way to delay and hit that date.
The worst part is I got a survey email today to "Rate my experience with JLR Customer Relationship Center" which made me :mad::mad::mad::mad:
What is the April 1 deadline for?
Thanks , Peggy

we're still in the document collection phase. they are being very careful in their language, making it seem like the recall buyback might even go away later: "JLR recommends moving forward with the buyback because the market is always changing and there is no guarantee the offer will be the same later on if you decide to hold onto the vehicle."

I have a call into a lemon law attorney, I still within the six years, even under the new CA law.

Did anyone get an option for a credit at jaguar/Land Rover or did everyone just get a cash offfer? If you got a “credit” what was the difference between the two.

I wonder why some folks in CA are getting good buyback offers using CA Lemon Law and some don't even for the 1st time buyers, I don't know what is the criteria?

Mine was denied and my details is as follows:
Purchased on May 2019 with 138 miles, current miles is 43K
I had only one instance of Battery Issue where they said they replaced the battery, not sure if it was completely of some.

This is from the service records
Replaced secondary battery complete. Fitted JLR battery maintainer onto both batteries. Reset battery monitors, cleared dtc and road tested vehicle, no warning lamps illuminated at this time.

I am guessing they are taking a chance where they think the fire would not happen and they can play the delay game.

This was not your HV battery, but a small 12V battery (2019 I-Paces have 2 12V batteries), the secondary (aux) battery which powers the brakes among other essential things.

I have a 2019 SE - 24K miles. Blue w/ Park Package, Drive Package, 18-way Heated and Cooled Seats, Head-Up Display, Windsor Leather Seats, Meridian 825W Surround Sound, Adaptive Surface Response, Fog Lights, Power Gesture Tailgate. Buyback offer US$29,376.00
Morley Repurchase Coordinator - Ken Thomas
I was told by Ken that everyone gets the same deal meaning Zip Code and Condition of the car do not factor into the offer. Reportedly, they are using 'Excellent' as the condition.
He also said that Morley does nothing but manage the process. JLR sends Morley the buyback offer.
Has anyone paid $35 for KBB certified value? If other bought this, I would be willing to do the same.
I tried to get a ball park value by looking at 2020 Ipace values today on KBB. A fully loaded HSE with 24K Miles has a private party value of US$29,189. An SE with my options have a private party value of US$27,976. Difference of US$1210. Or about 4%. So how are people getting offers higher than US$30,551? I don't see things adding up between what I have read on the forums and what I hear from Morley.
I complained about the $29,376 offer and got a new offer of $31,376. So apparently there is room to negotiate.

When you say "complained," what all did you have to do? Did you just say you think it's worth more? That you paid more? Did you have to find for sale ads or...???

I went the route of saying it was worth more. Fact that I had invested in a bike rack, another set of wheels and tires for winter, vinyl wrapped the front, immaculate condition. Also, it looked like KBB wasn't very good at added options like heads up display and premium sound system. So I listed those. Then I just asked if I could get a better offer.

Did you accept the $31,376 or are you still negotiating? :)

Negotiating....with the wife. I just picked up a 2025 BMW iX xDrive50. My wife is driving the I-Pace and is trying to decide if she wants to drive it or her Lexus 300h. Personally, I would like her to accept the buyback and then sell the Lexus 300h when the 2026 BMW i4 xDrive40 comes out.
