Approved my offer letter on 03/07. My vehicle doesn't charge with Initializing error and high voltage system fault detected error again since last week. Called 877-744-4336 today and was told that some one from another dept not related to Morley will call me end of this month or early next month when to drop the vehicle at the dealership and pick the check.

Yes, make sure to call them. They do not appear to have proper contact information and they do not make any attempt to contact you unless you reach out to them. It is very frustrating but I think it is the best way to make sure you get the process started.

Dude, who in their right mind would ever buy these POS cars?
lol … to each his own I guess, we are very happy with our 2020 and would def buy another one. But that wasn’t the of my question … I was asking whether JLR is compensating for the fact that “no one wants to buy these cars”. People have been saying that they are offering market value, which by definition is the same as what people are willing to pay for it …

Ok finally i got this reply.....time to contact a lawyer

After evaluating this matter in good faith, Consumer Affairs does not believe that your vehicle qualifies for repurchase under the California Lemon Law;
However, you will be contacted shortly by a Specialist Team. They will provide you with further information and discuss the available options for the H514 recall.
We do not have a specific time frame for when you can expect to be contacted, please be assured that the team is working diligently to address all matters as quickly as possible.
You may reach out to 833-221-9788 for updates or any questions you may have.

It seems like this is a standard delaying tactics employed and everyone should lawyer up.

My husband has been following this board for some time now, and my car just 'bricked' last week. Towed in, asked them for the software updates, which they did not do. Instead they did a full inspection, changed the aux bat and claimed that we have rodent damage, and would I please pay them an additional $325 to further investigate. I said, um, no, and on ADVICE FROM LRJ we have been parking the car outside the garage and only charging it to 75%. If we did exactly as they told us to do, how can they now complain that we didn't garage the car?

Hi everyone,
Most likely my last post since after initially reaching out to JLR via email and then the buyback number 3/14, submitted my documents on 3/19, I received the buyback letter today, 3/20 which I just accepted and returned. Now just need to coordinate drop off time. My car has 60,524 miles and multiple scrapes on all the corners from the tight spaces at work (and other drivers not me!), a piece of the rear bumper that fell off (work hit and run) and I JB welded back in and the occasional leaking from the windshield to front passenger seat— all in all I think I was fairly compensated since they didn’t look at the car and gave me the offer. I’ve loved the car and I wish they had upgraded battery and tech and I would have happily bought one again. All in all, with the buyback offer on my 2019 s model I paid less than a lease would have been for the 5 1/2 years I’ve owned it.
I am in N. Cal, so good luck to those in other states!

Got my process started in November of 2024. Took sometime to retrieve my contract from my original sale since the dealership was bought out by another.

I just signed my buyback offer yesterday. I found it was decently fair. I think they could have probably gone a little higher, but to me definitely not worth the litigation. And would rather not pay a lawyer.

Now I just wait for them to set up a time for me to bring car in, which seemed like it could take some time (again). 30 plus days. Then I will turn it in and sign all of the papers. Hope this helps, can’t share specifics. But for driving an excellent vehicle (aside the recalls 🤣) for over 5yrs now, and basically getting most of that back, I can’t complain.

wishing you all the best outcomes as well!!
Hi are you able to share what they offered. I received my offer and it is a joke…

I have a 2019 SE - 24K miles. Blue w/ Park Package, Drive Package, 18-way Heated and Cooled Seats, Head-Up Display, Windsor Leather Seats, Meridian 825W Surround Sound, Adaptive Surface Response, Fog Lights, Power Gesture Tailgate. Buyback offer US$29,376.00
Morley Repurchase Coordinator - Ken Thomas
I was told by Ken that everyone gets the same deal meaning Zip Code and Condition of the car do not factor into the offer. Reportedly, they are using 'Excellent' as the condition.
He also said that Morley does nothing but manage the process. JLR sends Morley the buyback offer.
Has anyone paid $35 for KBB certified value? If other bought this, I would be willing to do the same.
I tried to get a ball park value by looking at 2020 Ipace values today on KBB. A fully loaded HSE with 24K Miles has a private party value of US$29,189. An SE with my options have a private party value of US$27,976. Difference of US$1210. Or about 4%. So how are people getting offers higher than US$30,551? I don't see things adding up between what I have read on the forums and what I hear from Morley.
