Navigation saysTraffic Info not available

My navigation screen in the center stack shows turn by turn directions in a box on the right. When it is not showing turn by turn, It also displays the warning that "Traffic Info is not Available" How do I make real time traffic available? My sales rep says I need the AT&T in car plan, that is about to expire. I have had that free plan for 2 months and have been getting that message the whole time, with no traffic warnings. I thought the AT&T plan was just a in -car Wi-Fi hot shot? Does anyone have any info on the plan and also the lack of traffic info in the built in Nav. Also do you always have to plug your phone in to use Apple Car play? Does it also work thru blue tooth? I could use Waze, if I didn't want to bother to plug my phone in each time. Seems like the built in NAV is very inferior to most anything out there. My 8 year old BMW had better NAV. Love the car but the infotainment is way behind the curve. Electro

My experience is the same. To get the data working, I have to turn my phone into a hot spot and plug it in.

Just easier to use WAYS.

When I was going through the menus the other day I noticed that Mobile Data was disabled in Connectivity. Once I turned that on I started getting traffic data.

Couple of thing:

1) Traffic data has Nothing to do with the AT&T data plan. It comes with your 2023 expiration on the InControl built in car data. Going deeply through the menus I verified this. It will even show you when your traffic data will expire.

The Navigation has a multitude of settings as to what to display and what not to display even down to what charger plugs you want displayed. Just dive into the menus and you will find it all.

Your ATT free trial is 3 months and 5GB.

I called ATT to verify since my dealer said 30 days and that was the reason the car could not find DCFC stations.

I got emails from ATT with no contact info. I'd like to call them to cancel this BS .. just to make sure that it doesn't autorenew somehow. Do you have contact info?

It's a pain in the donkey. I have it at work. I'll find it. It's not through the normal ATT portal. Something like ATT car connect or something like that.
The link they sent me for renewal in an email was wrong... YEAH!! That's the ATT I remember! Jerks.
The lady was in Portugal of all places. We chatted a while. Friendly at least, and she was very helpful once I found her.
