After trading in my Tesla Model X and driving home in the I-Pace right away I noticed a huge difference in the fit and finish (not really surprise, but nice change) and how well it drove. Right away my girlfriend mentioned how it drove a lot smoother. This was as we were hitting a rough area of the freeway on our way home where the Tesla used to bounce all over the road.
Another fun one was when my girlfriends son was in the back seat talking to us and stopped and said, wow how come it doesn't echo in here like the last car. Haha, because we aren't driving a tin can anymore.
Worst is the lack of a good nav and voice commands. I could speak to my Tesla similarly to how I speak to my Google home. I could say drive to a place (just name of the place not address) and fairly instantly the Tesla nav would load my destination, charger locations, and we were on our way. Now I fiddle around with it. The Android Auto doesn't work in my car so I can't use that; continually disconnects. I'm really surprised Jag doesn't have voice commands for Nav.
Last surprise, my Dad's face and expression when he drove it for the first time. He's an engineer for commercial airline and has experience building race cars. His face when he stepped on the accelerator of the I-Pace was priceless. He was so disappointed in the Tesla I had, but with the Jag he told me I finally bought a real good car. haha Then asked when I'm I going to buy him one.
