Lightbulb Bi-Directional EV Charger

A number of readers have asked, if their I-Pace can be used as a power source. Well, a Spanish firm has developed a bi-directional home 7.4 kWh @ 32 amps charger, albeit, not cheap.

$4000, ouch. Under what circumstances would this be worth while? Also, wouldn't there have to be software on the car side?

Software AND hardware would be needed, plus a cutoff or switch at your panel to stop from electrocuting power company employees. Plus a **** of a lot of changed laws, plans filed with the planning office, etc. etc. etc.

V2G is not ready yet.

Photon FE, 2013 FR-S, 2014 Forester, and maybe going to get a Fiat 500e

Forget V2G, how about just EV2EV? Like ICE cars can do now but without risking ingestion of gasoline through the siphoning process ;-). I would think some industry standard protocol would be all that is needed, since it would be mostly small consumer-esque transactions, nothing commercially viable. The best time to promote this to manufacturers is NOW, when EVs still need some 'feature appeal' to attract more ICE buyers, and the lack of charging infrastructure is still a hurdle for many prospective buyers. I wonder if any trade group is pursuing this??
