Jaguar Should Join Porsche Turbo Charging

So Porsche is working with the Volkswagen Auto Group, Mercedes, BMW and Ford, as well as other charging companies to set up a turbo charging system. Would it not be beneficial for Jaguar to join if they're planning on producing more performance EV like the I-Pace in the future? Help them compete with Tesla and the chargers seems to be better than the Tesla superchargers.

JLR should especially since else where in the empire they have models with owners that will really depend on this stuff. Just imagine once the Range Rovers and Land Rovers go electric. After this round of car shows coming up we should have a better idea of how they choose to proceed.

Seems like it's the rest of the World VS Tesla right now when it comes to electric cars and chargers, so it makes sense for others to come out with their own fast charger to compete because Tesla's chargers only works with their cars, so there's and incentive to go with them. If that is removed, then people will move to other high performance EV models.

Cause chargepoint isn't really that great when you're in a bit of a rush.

If the turbo charging infrastructure if widespread enough to accommodate a large percentage of major highways, there may be a future for it, especially with gov't funding alongside the large amount of liquid asset each company has. I'd pay for a membership to use their chargers and it'd be nice not to carry so many cards for different third party charging companies.

they haven't even begun to tax people enough right now on carbon so with the roll out of systems like that on a government level or private with government funding, carbon taxes will play into it to make up for the billions required.

I've heard that the gov't is cutting funding to EV purchase incentives, the same may apply to charging infrastructure as well so Jaguar may need to team up with other companies and privatize their own system.

Does this mean that we're going to see the battle between a few teams in the EV supercharger market?

Hard to say. We have Tesla and the Porsche group. Maybe companies like chargepoint will do the same too.

Chargepoint is one of the largest and at this rate anything can happen, maybe we will see the government invest in them and/or car makers do that. A new rival can come to market but at this rate they have a lot of caching up to do in terms of volume.

It would be nice if they all worked together to at least have a universal membership card to owners won't have to carry so many different ones. Just for convenience sake.
