Couldn't agree more on all points. Btw, my issue started probably before 5000 miles ... now at 6600 miles.

@McRat : it all depends on which cells and how they failed. In a bank, depending on configuration used on the I Pace (anyone know the layout?) one or two bad cells can essentially "bring down" the entire group. I wonder if depending on diagnostics and number of cells JLR decides to replace the battery or if its one or two bad ones do an onsite repair. Once the bad cells are replaced there should be no difference in performance or longevity.

Most of the 'pouch cell' style batteries have several modules, which are like individual batteries.
IIRC, our batteries are 36 modules, each hold 12 cells in a 3s4p configuration for pack of 108s4p = 432 cells.

my car has now been in the dealer for 2 days, they are not giving me clear answers as to when the car will be fixed, for those of you who had the same issue, how long did it take to fix? ( total or partial battery replacement?)

Mine has been at the dealer since Sept 23. (Yes, you read that right)
It took them and JLR a month to concede that I have a bad battery.
Did the dealer give you a loaner?

The dealer wouldn't even schedule me an appointment until December and JLR basically won't talk to me until the dealer sees it. The dealership I purchased from claimed they had no way of checking the battery before sending it to me (LOL), JLR didn't like that.

Do the dealers give you an Ipace for a loaner or an Epace or some other ICE?

RR Velar. Nice car, very quiet and smooth, but a boat. Totally different from the I-Pace in almost all respects .. (except the infotainment system)

yes an E pace, not the same at all, but also not very forthcoming about information on when the issue will be fixed.

I suspect the dealer did not do the proper battery maintenance every 30/60 and 90 days while the car was in storage, since the car with with them for almost a year prior to the sale, i guess JLR and the dealer are probably arguing over who is to blame before addressing the issue.
