I absolutely see how the infotainment and such is crap.

However, it took over a year for my Power Walls to get decent software. I know Teslas took a while too, and they often have to do rollbacks .

Then I remember System 6 on old Macs. Random crashes all the time for no reasons. I saved every few seconds when writing. I still do!

Oh, and Windows! Every big release took at least a year not to suck.

So I'm patient.

Photon FE, 2013 FR-S, 2014 Forester, and maybe going to get a Fiat 500e

Zero chance that I would return the car. It is amazing, Yes, the software could be better. But overall itís the best car I have ever driven.

Well since I started this thread a while ago, I thought Iíd add my experience. Iíve had the iPace for a few months now and overall had been content with it. Not thrilled and not disgusted but content. Itís very pretty (I have black with the 22Ē carbon wheels) and I get a ton of compliments. The infotainment system is garbage and mostly unusable. Every time I start the car, I know itís going to be a surprise on what goes wrong. Sometimes the camera views get stuck for the whole ride. Sometimes the AC knobs just donít work. But the last couple of days have been a different level of dysfunction.

I tried to leave work the other day and immediately got the traction battery error. The car wouldnít move in any direction. So I left it in my work parking garage and came back to he next day. Issue seemed to have been gone. Had a meeting he next day and on the way there, suddenly the car jerked back on a busy street and all power went out. I got another batter error and had to coast unto a side street. If I had been on the freeway, I definitely would have been rear ended at high speed. After this incident and knowing that I was lucky in avoiding a major collision, I would definitely return the vehicle if I could.

the traction battery error seems to be a result of a problem with the 12V battery. My car did it just once and it was while I was in a parking lot, upon my arrival. I was able to get the car parked and left it sit for an hour or so & it self resolved, so it didn't cause me any significant inconvenience.

I would test the battery or if a dealer is convenient to you, give the car to them for a few days for them to check it. You just may be able to get JLR to buy it back.

Quick update. The car has now been at the dealer for a week and half and they donít know what to do. They tried driving the car and it ran fine so they have been in contact with Jaguar about he issue but have gotten very little response. Theyíve run some diagnostics but havenít found any issues. I have a feeling that itís going to be there for close to a month. Already looking into the California lemon laws.

I suggest simply calling JLR NA and open a ticket with them before spending to much time/effort on lemon law/lawyering up/threatening them. Myself and many others have found JLR to be very easy to work with and focused on solving the issues. If your dealer can advocate for you even better. It seems the ones that have had the most problems reaching a solution are those that are belligerent right out of the gates.

Good luck

I have been working very patiently with them but I anticipate that itís only going to get worse before it gets better so just wanted to know what my options are going forward. They hadnít even called me after having the car for a week and a half. I had to call them to find out what was going on and they were clueless. I am not confident that they will be able to fix it and so when they give it back and it happens again, Iíll be perusing the lemon law. Especially if it stalls and ends up causing a wreck.

My brand new iPace has a faulty battery. I'm estimating 65 KWH usable.

So yes, if I could exchange my new iPace for my old Porsche Macan I'd do it right now. ****, I'd pay money to buy back my used 2016 Macan. Unfortunately that would cost more than I can afford because, you know, the iPace is pretty much worthless.
