Dutch I-Pace on order

Hello Forum,

I am from the Netherlands with an active I-pace order (new company car). Current estimated delivery by lease company is wk48 2018, expecting more details in June. Although I initially wanted a Tesla Model S mainly for practicality reasons (3 phase charging and large existing DC infrastructure), it was out of reach so was very pleased that Jaguar I-pace got launched and provided a beautiful alternative.

Available budget limited my order to I-pace S but luckily with some improving options like Light Oyster grained leather sport seats, drivepack, HUD, electric tailgate and heated windscreen. Panoramic roof would have been brilliant but unfortunately choices had to be made. I have chosen Firenze Red as color as my last 3 cars were all light or dark grey.

Like probably many other NL I-pace orders my main reason for BEV is current Fiscal climate in NL, for Jaguar I-pace I will pay monthly €152 income tax while for comparable luxury diesel cars like BMW 5, Mercedes E or Audi A6 you easily pay monthly over €600 income tax. Starting 2019 the fiscal benefits for expensive BEV are reduced as the government limited the reduced tax rate of 4% to €50,000 above that the normal rate of 22% applies. This is also the reason why NL got relative much more 2018 production slots than other countries, with NL having barely any slots for early 2019.

The unfortunately decision from Jaguar to only install single phase loader as well as the very limited DC infrastructure across Europe does probably mean that for ski and summer holiday I need to find a different solution (exchange with colleague/family, fly and/or rental car) but is only a minor inconvenience for having the daily joy of driving this car.

In terms of my car history the Jaguar I-pace is a step up, started with Ford Focus (company car abroad), Seat Ibiza (temp car due to late delivery ordered car), Skoda Fabia (1st private car - fiscal benfits), Skoda Octavia (1st NL company car - 14% tax) and now Jaguar I-pace, separately we have a Hyundia I10 as 2nd small family car.

Greetings
Dutch I-pace

Welcome!

Did think about the Tesla model S as well, but that thing was expensive especially if you wanted the longest range possible, the P100D. May as well go with the I-Pace at that point and add a few extra features with the money saved. For long distances, you could try looking for private chargers that owners don't mind sharing. I think there's an app called plug share for that.

Delivery schedule for NL

I also ordered an I-pace in the Netherlands. Delivery date is (provisionally) confirmed on week 45 and I am looking forward to that date since my current Volvo V60 PiH will soon hit the 300k KM(!). Is there anyone who can give me an update on the delivery status? Any issues reported in NL?

I was given specific production (23/11) and delivery (19/12) dates when I checked with the dealer two weeks ago. It was explained that Dutch orders have been pushed forward (an extra 1500 I-Paces coming to NL in 2018, attractive for fiscal reasons), which has resulted in buyers from other countries experiencing some delays to 2019 instead of 2018.

I was invited for a test drive with the I Pace, which was a great experience. Very attractive design combined with the 400 hp power on 4 wheels make this a very nice car.
The Dutch tax advantages make this the best we can get for now as a company car.
