@bremington , be aware that the consumption estimates provided by the car are consistently optimistic due to a calculation error in the car's software. Do not trust the reported miles/kWh. Go with the SoC; measure the distance you've driven and take the SoC reading difference (between start and end of drive), in the linear range, which is between about 20% and 90% SoC. You will see that you use a lot more energy than what the car reports in miles/kWh.

Be prepared for three charging stops on a 520 mile trip. And yes, on a 50kW charger plan for 1 hour per stop.
