Have not had any dealer contact to enable anything. Is that still really necessary?

Frustrating that I have to re enter the wifi passcode every time.....
Ditto, but I have 19A and 16.2 and get "Software Up to Date" (after re-entering my home WIFI pw for like the 99th time...). Still unclear if dealer intervention is needed to get SOTA?? If a "call to dealer" is needed, its not really SOTA, is it? Can you imagine having to *call* Apple or Microsoft to 'authorize' updates to your OS?

My only explanation for this is that they still don't have the infrastructure in place to do this sort of thing at scale. Remember, they'd want to do it across their entire fleet that has the hardware to accept it. So they bank on most people not asking, and then have another line of defense: their dealers. It's really easy for them to throttle the demand that way. They only get requests from dealers.

What is JLR on dial-up? Fleet is not that big and it is not like we could all flush at once as a worldwide effort.

Yes they are. It takes serious engineering talent, and lots of it, to pull that sort of thing off. And they're resource-limited ... so they throttle demand while learning.

available message. texted the local service manager asking whether he needed to do
something. tried updating again around 5:30pm and it worked! i'm now on 19b :-)

I looks like the Creep Mode is staying on. At least I hope.

Just this morning I went from S18C_18.37.1-222737 to S19B_19.40.4-436082. It took exactly 30 minutes to download and 10 minutes to install. I did not have any dealer intervention so my I-Pace was enabled to accept SOTA.
Time2Roll, epirali and dtgsrq like this.

Updated to S19B_10.40-436082 went smoothly on Monday, 10/21. No discernible difference from S19A. Also, updated my navigation map, but not via SOTA.

I-Pace FE, Corris Gray, 20" rims
