Passing Address Data to the IPace

OK so yesterday I was trying to figure out how to pass an address I looked up in my Samsung 8 (Android) to the car to put into the navigation system, and I swear I couldn't figure it out even reading the manual. I tried Bluetooth but that is only phone and music. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you try Android Auto application? Hook the phone using a cable to the USB port in the center armrest. Click on an address on the phone.

Yep tried repeatedly. Android Auto constantly fails to launch correctly and freezes the car main screen. Very Buggy software. I brought it to the dealer and showed the JLR "Experience Support" person the issues. She took notes on ten different attempts we made to have Android auto launch correctly. She is supposed to get back to me. We will see.

I was having a lot of issues getting Android Auto to stay on. It would connect and a minute or so later, it would disconnect. This would happen repeatedly. I had an aftermarket cord I was using (not a cheap one either), but when I connected a Google supplied cord (I am using a Pixel 2), it hooked up right away and has not disconnected since. Perhaps it is a cord issue you are having.

Great suggestion. I also was using a high end jacketed cord. I will try some others. Thanks for the suggestion.

I use the JLR route planner app. It allows you to look up destinations and they appear in your car under recnts or favs if you save one as such. It's worked great for me.

Yes, agreed, easiest way to pass destinations to the vehicle is using the InControl website:
https://jaguar.here.com/

You can input the destination, click the 'STAR' and make it a favorite, it will then sync to the vehicle favorites next time your start the vehicle. The only thing you cant do on the website is custom name the destination. Example, I can put in routes to all friends homes but on the website I can only sync it to the vehicle by their address. Once in the Favorite list in the vehicle, I can edit the name to be "Tim's House" etc. You can then use voice control to set destination to "Tim's House", etc.
This is one feature that seems to be working.
The list of the other 30+ features that don't work (consistently) is another story.
