The M3P is still damned fast in a straight line, especially for a 55k car. I just can't bring myself to buy one.

If you're ever in Las Vegas, get a reservation at by Jos Andrs. Get the wine pairing too. "Cheapest" one was good enough for me.

I like Popeye's chicken. Never had the sandwich. Can't get one right now anyway.

Popeye's won the chicken sandwich wars, right?

There must be an analogy in there somewhere.........

Here is an interesting read with analysis of margin, CapEx, comparison to the industry, etc for those interested.

The email I just got...

You and anyone using your referral link can now earn 2,000 miles of free Supercharging with the purchase of a new Tesla car or solar panels before October 1, 2019. Orders of a new vehicle must be delivered before October 1, 2019 to qualify.
With each referral, you will also be entered to win a Founder Series Roadster or Model Y. If you already have free Supercharging, you will receive two chances to win.

Yeah, it's not a question of whether to invest. It's a question of when to short.

Unattractive Funds That Hold TSLA

The following funds receive an unattractive-or-worse rating and allocate significantly to Tesla.

Baron Partners Fund (BPTIX) 13.7% allocation and unattractive rating
ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) 10.3% allocation and very unattractive rating
ARK Web x.0 ETF (ARKW) 9.4% allocation and unattractive rating
American Beacon ARK Transformational Innovation Fund (ADNCX) 9% allocation and very unattractive rating
I'm good.

@jsimon7777 I’d be cautious about shorting TSLA. The risk is that each product line expansion (Y, pickup, semi) has the potential to add $10B-$40B to the top line. WS continues to stand ready to fund that growth.

You might think that each of those product line extensions will be unprofitable. But at some point the brand power and economies of scale take over. And then the shorts are screwed.

Oh good, this will DEFINITELY help from the CEO of a company. I don't understand how people look up to this guy as some kind of "genius."

And then there is this analysis on topic:
