The slow sales could be from what's also holding me back. I did a test drive of the i-pace as soon as one was available in Houston. I'm on my third EV/PHEV vehicle, now; with home charging, so it's not like I don't have a grasp of the issues. First off, the i-pace is typical of Jags since I first became aware of the marque in the mid-50's. I absolutely adore the styling. From the XK 120 (former owner), the 3.8 S-type to the E-type; they are sublime. They have also had English electrics (I've had 3 MG's, 1 Austin Healy 100-4, Daimler SP 250, XK-120 and a '74 RR Silver Shadow) and that's why I haven't owned any English car for many, many years. The electrics just were never reliable, never mind the oil leaks. I'm replacing my two PHEV's next year and the i-Pace is on the list--probably head of the list based on it's looks and driving experience. That's why I'm watching the owner experience on this forum VERY carefully. An all-electric English car--what's to worry? To date, I'm not impressed. I see a lot of electrical problems. The display i-Pace at the Houston Auto Show displayed a message: "Electrical Charging Fault" on the center console. But, I've got a year to wait and see. I wonder if others are doing the same thing?
