Creep Mode 2019 Jaguar I-Pace

Has anyone noticed their I Pace not moving smoothly going from Park to drive or Reverse?

Has anyone noticed crunching noise when moving from park to Drive or reverse?
Like it feels like the car is trying to go but it holds back until you tap on the Speed.
Note: While on Creep Mode, the Car should role smoothly without tapping on Gas paddle.
Please right your comments. Thank you.

Are you talking about the parking brake releasing? It will wear in and be less noticeable.
If you have your foot on the brake while it adjusts the ride height or releases the parking brake, it can grind a bit, which is the tires or brakes being moved an inch.

In the good old days, the engine would drown out a lot of the noises, and you'd just turn up the radio.

Not sure, so my IPace does that almost every time I am going into drive, either reverse to drive or Park to drive. When I go from park to drive it feels like the breaks are trying to release than it stops and won’t roll until I tap on the gas paddle. Than it rolls like a normal car.

So my I Pace is still at the dealer for over 2 weeks now. Dealer has seen what the car is doing and agrees that I Pace should move smoothly going from Park to drive or reverse with Creep mode on. The one thing that is concerning is that when when the dealer tested it going from Park to Drive, with creep mode on, the Car tried to roll like normal but it did not, it made scratching noise and the Park light came on. I did not pay attention to the park light coming on but the dealer did on multiple occasions. So they recorded what the car was doing and have sent it to UK for Jaguar engineers to tell them on a fix. Nothing yet the dealer has tested multiple things , such as breaks, batteries and now waiting on UK to decide what to do. The dealer tested other I Pace that were on their lots and all of them did the same thing. I think UK is testing the models out there at this time to see if it’s the same as they asked for the dealer to record a video and send it to them.

Does anyone hear little squirrels, like the suspension making noise when moving from Park? Or have noticed the Park light come on?

What happens when you manually release the parking brake?

When I was trying to help somebody by experimenting with my car, I somehow got it into a mode where the parking brake was on, but putting it into drive did not release it. I don't remember how though.

However, it took a certain sequence to do it. It is odd that multiple cars would do the same thing. I've driven 3 I-Paces, and played with CREEP ON and CREEP OFF and never noticed a problem EXCEPT... In Creep Off, the car will roll backwards in drive on a gentle slope.

I have never manually released the parking brakes. I thought it goes on and off by itself. I have never put parking brakes on myself either. Just moving from park to drive it does this. Hopefully there is a fix for it so I can get my car back.

In my I-Pace, with CREEP OFF, the car will roll backwards on a slope. Sometimes, with CREEP OFF it will also roll forward on a slope when I let go of the brake during one pedal driving.

Two things I have noticed:

1. If I have not straightened the wheels before going from R to D, it seems to take a slight tap
on the accelerator to get going.

2. When I pull into the garage as the rear wheels transition into the flat of the garage floor,
you better be ready to break very quickly as creep mode acts a little "too" creepy and the
vehicle tends to take off. It doesn't help that my garage is on the short side and may run into the freezer located in front of the car.

Bottom line is I have noticed a few quirky things when selecting D or R.

So I finally got my car back from the dealer . The dealer is saying that when the Parkland comes on the cars thinking it’s on a hill so the **** is this comes on but the funny part is we are parked on a flat surface in a parking lot . I had one of the sacrament of Jaguar’s service writers sit down with me in the car and we did a test coming from park to reverse and then park to drive and the purple light came on in the car did not creep as usual As it should creep forward. Anyways I brought the car home .
The new problem is the infotainment update . After the update My creep mode started to turn off by itself. I have to turn it on every time I drive, and it turns off by itself when I parked the car n turn it off. Sacramento service manager made me bring the car back in so he could witness the malfunction himself which he saw today so he will be contacting the engineers in the UK so they could release a new update to fix the issue .
The manager also witnessed my crunching noise in the front of the car which she thought was kind of loud and he thinks it’s probably the brakes so once he gets a fix from UK on what to do with the infotainment center then he will have him bring the car so they will do a full service on the brakes and suspension to make sure it’s not the brakes or the suspension making the noise.

Garage
Creep mode not remembering it is On in 19A seems to be a fairly well known issue on the UK board. I have it turned off on mine so that particular bug won't bother me, but I can see it being very frustrating to those that want it on.
